On behalf of
Council, I would like to welcome you to our website.
Stirling is a
vibrant and growing community of just over 1000 people, sometimes
known as the "Jewel of the Prairies". It is located just
twenty minutes southeast of Lethbridge and is the home of many who
work in Lethbridge. Young families move here because of the
safe neighborhoods, excellent school, affordable housing, and clean
air and water. They stay to enjoy the peace and tranquility,
friendly neighbors, and social aspect of the community.
Stirling has been designated a National
Historic Site by the Conference Board of
Canada. By visiting the Michelsen
Farmstead, the Galt Historic Railway Park, or the many older homes
on large lots, you feel like you have returned to the early 1900's.
However, new homes and subdivisions quickly bring you back to the
modern era of the 21st century.
As the mayor of the Village of Stirling, I would
like to extend a warm welcome. Whether you visit to explore
the heritage sites, or to look for a residence to raise your family,
Stirling is a wonderful place to call home.
